For no more than four hours, the entire Scrum team discusses the goal of the sprint and whether it's possible to achieve. The first event in a sprint is sprint planning. We can view a sprint as a game with the goal to do better each time on the expectations of the company and stakeholders within the confines of a ruled time limit. A sprint is a timeframe of one to four weeks during which a team resolves to create full concrete goals that could include usable products and releases. Transparency is crucial to the system so that nothing gets lost and workers avoid upending an entire month’s work. Everyone works (or “plays”) for the team they are on. Successful Scrum teams liberally employ the core values of commitment, courage, focus, openness and respect to achieve the highest results.
